Terms of Service
By accessing or using Ledgester ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Ledgester provides software tools for Indian Goods and Services Tax (GST) workflows, including invoice generation, quotation creation, calculators, lookup utilities, and document storage. The Service is intended for businesses, accountants, and tax practitioners.
2. Not professional advice
Ledgester is a software utility, not a substitute for professional tax or legal advice. Calculators, due-date reminders, ITC checkers, and other reference content are provided for general guidance only. Always verify outputs against the official GST portal (gst.gov.in) and consult a qualified Chartered Accountant or tax advisor before filing returns or making compliance decisions. We disclaim all liability for errors, omissions, or losses arising from reliance on the Service.
3. Your account
You may use the Service without an account. If you create one (via Google Sign-In), you are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate fraudulent or backdated invoices, or any documents that misrepresent the underlying transaction.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
- Use the Service to violate Indian law, including the CGST Act, IGST Act, or state GST acts.
- Resell, white-label, or redistribute the Service without our written consent.
5. Paid plans & billing
Some features require a paid plan (Solo, Pro, Practitioner, or a Custom plan). Every plan begins with a 14-day free trial; no charge is made during the trial. Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions billed monthly in INR via Razorpay. You can cancel any time, and access continues to the end of the paid period. Full billing, cancellation, auto-renewal, and refund terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscriptions; existing subscriptions are honoured until renewal.
6. Your content
You retain all rights to the data you enter into the Service (invoices, customer details, etc.). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit that data only as needed to operate the Service for you.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantees. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for changes that materially reduce existing functionality.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security risk, with notice where reasonably possible.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and without warranty. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the registered place of business of Ledgester.
