Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how subscription billing, cancellation, auto-renewal, and refunds work for Ledgester ("we", "us"). It applies to all paid plans (Solo, Pro, Practitioner, and Custom plans) purchased through our payment partner, Razorpay.
1. Free trial
All plans include a 14-day free trial with no payment required to start. No charge is made during the trial. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan, your account moves to a read-only state at the end of the trial. Your encrypted data remains on your device and is never deleted.
2. Billing & auto-renewal
Paid plans are billed monthly in Indian Rupees (₹) via Razorpay using UPI, cards, or net-banking. By subscribing, you authorise an auto-renewing subscription: your chosen plan renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle, and the applicable amount (plus GST where charged) is debited using your registered payment method, in accordance with RBI e-mandate rules.
We send a reminder before each renewal where required. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by cancelling (see below).
3. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription in either of these ways:
- In the app: open Plans & Billing and choose Cancel subscription.
- By email: write to [email protected] from your registered email with the subject "Cancel subscription". We action cancellation requests within 1 business day.
When you cancel, auto-renewal stops immediately and you retain full access until the end of the current paid period. You are not charged again after cancellation.
4. Refunds
Because a 14-day free trial lets you fully evaluate the Service before any charge, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun. However, we will issue a refund in the following cases:

| Change of mind after the trial, mid-cycle, with the Service working as described | Not eligible, but auto-renewal can be cancelled so you are not billed again |
5. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from your registered email address with:
- The email/phone on your Ledgester account
- The Razorpay payment ID or the date and amount of the charge
- A brief description of the issue
We respond to every refund request within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5–7 business days; the time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
6. Custom plans & mid-cycle changes
For Custom plans, you can add tools at any time; the additional amount is prorated for the remainder of the current cycle. Removing tools or downgrading takes effect from your next billing cycle, and we do not refund the difference for the current cycle. To make a mid-cycle change, use the in-app plan editor or email [email protected].
7. GST on subscriptions
Prices shown are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Where GST applies, it is added at checkout and a GST invoice is made available for your records.
